Roman Kimani Print E-mail

RomanBorn in 1990, Roman Kimani never knew his father, and spent his younger years with his grandparents as his mother was unable to provide for him and his sister.

When his grandmother passed away, his grandfather remarried a woman that had four other children. Roman was forced by his step grandmother to do an unreasonable amount of labor, faced physical abuse, and a hostile home life. As a result, Roman drifted away from his grandfather's home and into the streets. After a living about a year in the streets of Dagoretti market, Roman came to D4K in 2005.

Roman currently attends Archbishop Ndingi Academy in class eight, where he is the top of his class. He is working hard towards his ultimate goal of becoming a cardiologist and he also envisions himself opening a rehabilitation center so that he can help children that have no opportunities.
